3/12 to 21/12 2014 LET THE CHILDREN PLAY is invited by UNHCR to be presented at the Palais des Nations, UN head quarters. LET THE CHILDREN PLAY is the attendant exhibition for the first globe UNHCR TEDx conference in history.Over 2000 guests are welcomed and nobody could ignore the 4 meter refugee children cut-outs and the 5 to 11 meters print of Zaatari refugee settlement „TREE OF HOPE“ production… Thank you UNHCR for this co-operation! ![]() From the left: Osama Muttawa /PlayFoundation, Melissa Flemming (UNHCR Head, Communications and Public Information Service Spokesperson for the High Commissioner), Kilian Kleinschmidt (former manager of Zaatari refugee settlement, actual independent humanitarian networker), Hannes Seebacher (artist), Marwan Maghur (PlayFoundation) 20/11 to 20/12/2014 With our Belgian partners, Cultural Centre LE BRASS, Theatre LES TANNEUERS and the City of Brussels and our related association ASBL HUMAN R we were able to bring the exhibition to the astonishing exhibition space at LE BRASS. A main target of this exhibition in a very popular environment for the local multicultural inhabitants were guided tours for children and school classes. The refugee children cut-outs are placed as window displays at LE BRASS while the entire duration of the exhibition.
On a regular basis the Play Foundation exhibition was able to host school classes and offer guided tours and answer questions to our preferred visitors…Thank you children & teachers! Kilian Kleinschmidt brings along „his“ children from Zaatari refugee settlement for his speech about refugee children and communication of human & ethical values through art.
3rd PRIZE WINNER / Category Moving-Images at INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS L.A. / NY / global2/11/2014 The animation „Let the Children of Syria grow Hope“ was awarded at IPA winners ceremony at Carnegie Hall New York with the 3rd Prize / category Moving-Images.
This award makes gives lot of motivation to PLAY FOUNDATION and new projects!
